330-615-1600 We run a professional wildlife removal business operating in Green, Ohio. We service the whole Akron metropolitan area, and do much of our work in Green. We are a full-service
Green animal trapping and removal company. We specialize in wildlife only, and are not like a regular Green pest control company or Green exterminator. We use humane methods to
solve wild animal problems in Ohio. We solve the root of the problem, by performing home repairs to keep animals out, and preventative measures in addition to critter trapping
and removal. We offer a variety of services, from animal damage repair to waste cleanup, dead animal removal and odor control, and more. We handle several nuisance wildlife
species, including squirrels, raccoons, snakes, skunks, and opossums. We also perform bat removal and bird control services, and rodent control, including poison-free mouse and
rat removal. Give us a call any time at 330-615-1600 to discuss your Green animal control issue, and to schedule a fast appointment.
Green wildlife control tip of the month:
Groundhog Repellent
People try a lot of different Green animal control things to repel groundhogs, things like eggs, pepper, cinnamon oil, clover oil,
but they do not work in most cases. Another natural repellent is predator urine, like coyote or dog, fox urine
capsules, some use human urine, even cat litter, but that also does not work in all cases. A lot of stores offer
a wide range of repellants they claim to be natural and nontoxic, but one should be very careful with those.
There are several types of Green pest control groundhog repellents: liquid spray repellents, granular repellents and electronic
repellents. Liquid spray ones are used on plants they eat. Granular repellents serve as a barrier that keeps
them away and are applied around the area you do not want them to go to. Electronic repellents are motion activated
and have sprinklers that spray them when they come close.
Why aren’t these solutions good? Well for starters, most liquid and granular repellents have a warning on them that says
they should not be applied directly on the vegetable you will eat later. So they are poisons. And the thing is that, you
cannot spray your entire garden with it, so groundhogs will find their way to food. Electric ones are good but not for long
since groundhogs are intelligent creatures and they will find a way to avoid them. Natural Green animal trapping repellents rely on scents groundhogs
do not prefer like garlic, thyme or rosemary oil, but as discussed earlier, you cannot protect the entire garden with it. The
prices of those store repellents (and natural ones they sell) are very high, and why would someone pay for something that may
or may not work?
If you really believe Green exterminator repellent solution is the best one for you, you should try natural solutions that almost every home
has, like cat litter, human urine, dogs or similar things. Why risk with store repellents that possibly contain toxic chemicals
when the solution can be simple. Again, any kind of repellents are not 100 percent reliable and will work in some cases and in
some they will not. Also, there is a trick with repellents: some of them are not designed specifically for groundhogs, although
they are sold as such. General Green wildlife removal repellents usually have a scent of the predator in them, but not all predators catch groundhogs,
so buying them is like buying a lottery ticket: they may or may not work at all.
